HOW DO WE PRACTICE LAW IN A TIME WHERE IT FEELS LIKE THE LAW DOES NOT WORK?

The Loyola Journal of Public Interest Law Symposium brings together leading practitioners to examine legal advocacy in immigration, education, and environmental law following the 2024 Presidential General Election. Panelists will explore the due process implications of expanded detention authority, the practical challenges of representing clients navigating shifting enforcement priorities, and how attorneys advise institutional clients facing evolving compliance obligations. Practitioners will discuss litigation strategies following recent administrative law decisions and the challenges of representing clients affected by significant deregulatory initiatives. Designed for attorneys navigating these complex practice environments, this symposium provides a forum for rigorous analysis of the procedural and doctrinal challenges facing advocates today and how attorneys are confronting those challenges.
